The history of MAGNETIN’s innovative products dates back to 2007, when the first magnetic rotary joint was patented. The author of the technology is MgA. Nadja Rawa – graduate of the Prague UMPRUM, painter, designer and life experimenter. She first composed this technology into furniture sets and in 2012 she started working on the development of the MAGNETIN toilet set.
The development of the MAGNETIN toilet set was carried out by external experts who are also co-inventors of the patent.

Since 2017, Nadja Rawa, together with the wider project team, has continued to work on the development and aims to start production. The long-standing effort resulted in cooperation with the leading manufacturer of sanitary technology RAVAK, thanks to which the world’s first toilet set with magnetic connection could be created.
Magnetic force and working with it not only interests and fascinates me, but is something vital to me. It represents a connection. A connection that is both strong and variable, that does not bind or imprison. It is as strong and changeable as life itself.

Static magnetic force is completely harmless to health even with prolonged exposure. The level of static magnetic field in is not a value monitored by the EU Ministry of Health in terms of environmental and occupational hygiene.
If you have an implant in your body, it is not made of ferromagnetic/ferrous metal and does not react to magnetic attraction. In the same way, a pacemaker is not affected by static magnetic force. The magnetic connections inside the parts of the set naturally attract metal/iron objects. If you place, for example, a key or a nail on the integrated magnetic connections in the parts of the set, they will snap into place. We do not recommend that you attach a credit card or mobile phone directly to these points, for example, as this could affect their function. But who and why would anyone do that?

MAGNETIN’s philosophy is simple, perfectly functional design, cleanliness and durability.
We do not want any added mechanical parts in our products, not only connecting parts such as hinges and clamping mandrels, but also other parts such as brakes (brake cartridges) necessary for the slow tilting function. These added mechanical components are very often faulty and reduce the quality and lifetime of the products. We pride ourselves on the fact that all functions of the MAGNETIN set are provided by maintenance-free static magnetic force as absolutely passive pure energy. Our product has an “Impact Quiet” (IQ) function. Thanks to the fall dampers made of soft elastic material, the seat and cover sit softly on the toilet bowl.
The “MAGNETIN toilet set” product was subjected to a “cycling test” by TECH SIM Engineering in Prague, where the seat on the bowl was subjected to 50,000 times of repeated tilting and reclining movements in a special machine. The conclusion of this independent test was:
“The measured abrasion was lower than the accuracy of the measurement, approximately ±0.1 [mm]. Within the measurement error, it can be concluded that there was no measurable abrasion at the points monitored.”
“Visual inspection of the friction surfaces revealed no visible abrasion.”
